Condition Monitoring Services
Condition monitoring is the process of monitoring a parameter (e.g. vibration, temperature, oil etc.) of condition in machinery, such that a significant change is indicative of a developing failure. It is a major component of predictive maintenance. The use of conditional monitoring allows maintenance to be scheduled, or other actions to be taken to avoid the consequences of failure, before the failure occurs. It allows for some lead-time to purchase parts for the necessary repair work and thus reducing the need for a large inventory of spares. Since maintenance work is only performed when needed, there is also a possible increase in production capacity. Today advantages of predictive maintenance are accepted to industries and are using it as an essential tool, because of its efficiency to detect the faults on early stages and to reduce the unscheduled down time. It increases the productivity, improves the quality and provides the feeling of safety and reliability to the staff. In process industries, such as cement, sugar, chemical, power generation and others even a small downtime costs much and is the firm reason to accept and to implement the predictive maintenance in the plants.
